As we have mentioned, Earn to Die by Toffee Games has several obstacles blocking you from reaching the helicopter. It will take more than just super-upgrading your car to overcome these challenges, instead, it also takes a bit of maneuvering and skill to efficiently get past all these little problems while using the least amount of gas possible. After all, not matter how big your gas tank is, if you keep wasting your supply, you will eventually run out of fuel well before making it to the goal.

Slopes and Hills – these are the most basic challenges of the game, and also the most plenty. For most folks, the simple solution to playing the game is to keep holding and pressing up to accelerate. What most people do not realize is that there is no point to keep the pedal to the metal. Pressing on gas makes your wheels turn, but if your wheels are not planted on the ground, then you waste gas by making them spin for nothing. Press on the gas once your car has hit solid ground (or is running over a zombie) to ensure that the gas does not go to wait. If you are having trouble keeping the car’s wheels in contact with the ground, you must also use the tilt controls to keep them level. Also, remember that when performing a wheelie, your back wheels are still in contact with the ground, so accelerating then is also advisable.

Zombies – the desert is littered with the undead and while they do not endanger you with their bites, they certainly will waste your gas by getting in your way and slowing you down. At the start of the game, running into a single one will take a notch off your speed, a group of zombies will slow you down big time. Sadly, near the top of most uphill slopes, there will be a group of two to three zombies in the way, which means that aside from the slope already slowing you down, the three zombies will also bring your vehicle’s speed so low that you might as well have stopped. The key here is to not stop moving. You could boost if you have the upgrade but if not, you can opt to just keep pressing the gas. No matter how slow you get, as long as you accelerate, it will be fine. Note that there are actually different kinds of zombies, some are small and hardly get in the way except in small groups. Other zombies are tall and can really be a bother to run over. If you can manage it, try to jump over the zombies if your boost is enough to do so.

Boxes – for some odd reason, someone is stacking boxes out in the desert. It looks quite weird and all, encountering nicely laid out boxes in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, getting past the boxes is not that hard if you have enough speed. The big issue with boxes is when there are several of them together (such as the first pile at the 1000 distance mark). They can also slow you down if a few of them get under your car and you cannot crush the boxes. Fortunately, unlike the zombies, the boxes seem to be placed in more arbitrary areas, allowing you to pick up some speed before charging through. Lastly, be careful as many players have experienced being flipped over when they charged the boxes while performing a wheelie.

We are eagerly anticipating the development of Earn to Die 2 and can’t wait to hear more from Toffee Games on any planned sequel and it’s likely release date.

Orchestrated Death is a fun game where you play the grim reaper and it is your job to kill several innocent people and make it look like an accident. This of course won’t be easy but with our mini walkthrough to the game you should get the job done!

Miniguide: Chapter One

There is a man sitting behind a desk. On this desk is a gun, a clip of ammunition, a small razor and a desk lamp plugged into the wall outlet. While it may seem that all the necessary items for a quick death are in place, you will need to be a bit more creative –and this sets the pace for the rest of the game really; you will need to employ convoluted methods in order to dispose of your targets. So anyway, let us get on with the task of claiming this unfortunate soul.

First, click on the magazine clip. This will load it up on the gun, and ready the pistol in the right position. Now that the gun is loaded, click on it and it will fire at the ceiling, causing some damage to the roofing which then causes a leak near the wall outlet where the lamp’s plug is located. The gun will be pushed back by the recoil and will land on the floor. If you attempt to get the razor at this point, the man will notice and will place the razor back in its place. You must turn off the light first –you can do this by clicking on the lamp to turn it off or by unplugging the wall outlet. While the room is dark, quickly get the razor and it will drop on the floor, out of sight of the target. Using the razor, you can cut the lamp’s power cord, causing it to short out. This will cause the man to stand and attempt to reconnect the power outlet –however, since the room is dark, he will not see the water and will be electrocuted. The powerful burst of electricity will send him flying to the wall on the left and he will land near the gun, unconscious. Now you can take the gun and shoot the target in the head.

Miniguide: Chapter Two

This next chapter focuses on a cook, or rather, a chef, who is working inside the kitchen. While the situation is not as obvious as the first scenario, the kitchen is truly a place where plenty of accidents can happen. There are many elements here that will come into play, but none in quite the obvious manner that a person could think of.

The first thing you should do here is to open the refrigerator. Opening it will cause the chef to walk over and close it shut –during the chef’s walking animation, quickly press on the basket of fruits on top of the shelf. This will send the basket flying over the work counter and land near the blender. The chef will be completely oblivious to this and will return to working. Once he has his back to the screen once more, press on the basket to send a small round fruit into the blender. The chef will then stick his hand inside the blender for a quick moment to fish out the fruit before he returns to work. Since sticking your hand into the blender is dangerous, the chef does so very quickly (and we suggest that you never do so in real life). Anyway, your goal here is to press on the blender as soon as the chef’s hand is inside –the time is a bit difficult so expect to give this one a couple of tries before you can get it right.

If you do it properly, the chef’s hand will be completely mangled up, causing him to squirm in agony in front of the counter. With all of his attention on his injury, you can now manipulate other items in the room. First, use the pans –click them once to get them in position, and then click them again to beat up the chef. This will make the chef unconscious. Now you must drag the chef down the room and near the stove. Once there, click on the knife to get it ready then click on the chef to raise him off the floor. Once he is up, open the stove door. This lines up the chef for a powerful knife attack –which you make by pressing on the knife that you prepared earlier. The knife will stab the chef in the neck and send him flying into the oven.

Miniguide: Chapter Three

This last puzzle involves having two target victims in a single puzzle. Fortunately, the situation is to your advantage. As you may notice, the two men are in a boat on a swamp, fishing. They are both hillbillies and are rather violent types, so you can easily use this to your advantage when you try to kill them later on. Since there are so many things about being on a boat and the swamp that is dangerous, killing off these two can be pretty fun.

The first thing you should take note of is the set of keys on the belt of the guy on the left. These keys will open up the toolbox between the two men. If you try to get the keys, the man will notice, so you need to distract him first. Do this by clicking on the fishing line. Thinking that has gotten a bite, the man will try to reel it in, placing all his attention on the fishing rod. Take this opportunity to steal the keys and open up the toolbox. The box will open up and you will be able to get a knife. Since both men have their backs turned to each other, you can get to work without much interference at this point.

Use the knife to cut the man on the left, he will not die from the injury, instead, he will get annoyed and blame the other guy for it. The two will then engage in a furious fistfight that has no obvious winner. With that said, it is time to tilt the balance in your favor, as the guy on the right is getting punched, click on him to prevent him from punching back, he will lose the fight and get knocked off the boat. Sadly, the man is not dead yet, he will be floating on the water. To finish him off, click on the motor of the boat to turn it on (hard to notice, it is on the right side of the boat, near the water). This will cause the motors to turn and slice up the guy who fell. For the remaining person will lean over the water to see the horrifying accident. At this point, click on the water snake on the lower right corner of the screen to send it into the water. Then click on the man’s face, this will cause the snake to jump up, bite him and send him hurtling into the river.

Play Orchestrated Death now at Armor Games and see if you can claim the lifes of all the innocent people. If you like this sort of game then we would recommend heading on over to Death Games where there are plenty more gruesome games for you to play involving death including some really good zombie titles.

Explosive weapon types have the extra benefit of providing players with a gratuitous and resounding boom, as well as dealing out plenty of damage to the target and the nearby area. This splash damage effect will dish out plenty of damage to those caught within the blast and it provides players with the easiest way to score a double or even triple kill.

One thing players have to be careful about however is that splash damage overrides the game’s friendly fire settings. Sure, you do not have to worry about accidentally sniping your ally, but with a rocket launcher, your friends can get caught in the explosive blast. At this point, we already expect to see a lot of griefing from other players using splash damage type weaponry.

The Guns

Rocket Launcher (cost: FREE)

Power: 8

Range: 6

Accuracy: 6

Speed: 4

Ammunition: 1

Now here is a weapon so efficient that we wonder why anyone would want to switch out: the rocket launcher. If you still cannot figure out the name, this thing fires highly explosive rockets at equally high speeds –which is just another way of saying “death from afar”. The effectiveness of the rocket launcher is based on one simple property: catching your target within the blast radius –which is about 3 to 4 player bodies’ worth of distance. A single rocket launcher will knock out a fully shielded player and about half a health bar –easy enough to pick off with another rocket or a different gun. This means that if your opponent has less than half their shields, a solid hit on the head or the crotch could pretty much spell instant death.

The only real drawback here is that the rocket launcher is a suicide gun at close quarters; being caught in the blast radius will hurt a lot, so be sure to have full shields whenever you can. When fighting in enemy territory, be careful of freshly spawned players –everyone gets about a second and a half of invulnerability, allowing them to take the brunt of the explosion without a scratch while you get burnt to a crisp. Lastly, keep track of your teammates –the explosion is as fatal to them as it is to you.

Ion Cannon (cost: 1800)

Power: 6

Range: 8

Accuracy: 6

Speed: 3

Ammunition: 1

The ion cannon is pretty much a sniper rifle on steroids: headshots are almost instant kills all the time. Add in the fact that it can set enemies on fire and you have got a very powerful pseudo-artillery cannon. Like the rocket launcher, this gun also has a blast radius, but it is a little bit smaller –and also, a lot less self damaging. We recommend this for those who prefer to have precision strikes as compared to the wanton destruction brought by rocket launchers.

Grenade Launcher (cost: 2600)

Power: 4

Range: 5

Accuracy: 6

Speed: 6

Ammunition: 2

Grenade launchers are the perfect fishing weapons: find an enemy (or a group of them) that are encamped, then toss in these wonderfully sticky and explosive shots one after another. The heavily ballistic nature of the grenade launcher means that your shots will curve in an arc over obstacles –so be sure to give yourself a little aiming leeway. On the opposite end of the spectrum, using the grenade launcher allows you to shoot behind cover without putting yourself in the direct line of fire.

The best thing about the grenade launcher is that it is the explosive weapon with the safest detonation range –one that lets you run away before it goes boom. Yep, the grenade launcher has shells that are on a delayed explosive timer, which means that the damage will not kick in immediately after impact. Now this can put you at a disadvantage when you are in a direct firefight, it is even possible that you are hit and killed by a critical headshot before a single one of your grenades explodes, but as long as the grenades have stuck on your enemy, they will no longer be able to escape the impeding blast.

Ice Hunter (cost: 3200)

Power: 4

Range: 6

Accuracy: 5

Speed: 6

Ammunition: 1

Ice hunter missiles are among the weakest explosive weapons available, but when combined with other guns, it can prove to be the perfect support gun. The hunter fires homing missiles that dish out a moderate amount of damage (it also has a small blast radius), while the damage and ammunition clip for the weapon is low, the accuracy of its homing capabilities is superior. In fact, any opponent making a slow jump will easily be hit by this gun –making it perfect for chasing down targets who are running away.

Acid Hound (cost: 5000)

Power: 3

Range: 5

Accuracy: 4

Speed: 7

Ammunition: 4

Do not let this weapon’s stats fool you, that “3” in the power is very misleading –most importantly because of its special feature: acid damage, and just a few bullets will be enough to eat through any shield and armor. Speaking of a few bullets, this gun has a very high rate of fire –coming pretty close to a laser minigun. It fires entire rounds of boiling acid towards targets in moments, easily dousing them from head to toe. If a player armed with an acid hound manages to get near you, expected to get owned (unless, of course, they have extremely low health and no shields).

At long ranges however, the acid hound’s shots get a little wild, making it very ineffective in long distance firefights. You are better off using a stealth field to get up close before launching a volley of acid.

Strategies

We have said it above and we will say it again, be careful when handling explosive weaponry in this raze game. The explosions are more than enough to take out players with only half a life bar left –this means that you and your teammates are as vulnerable as your enemies. At the same time, be sure to take advantage of invulnerability power-ups that will allow you to temporarily use rocket launchers as a close range weapon.

As you may have noticed, all the weapons here have relatively low magazine clips, this means that some serious tactical reloading will have to be implemented if you intend to use any of these as a primary weapon. The best thing to do is to time your reloads when you are turning around or jumping up and down floors –if you run out of shells in front of a target, you are better off switching to a different gun instead of trying to reload.

You will have to go far to find any casual gamer that has never heard of the popular series of bejeweled series before. This time we will look at bejeweled twist, how does it differ from other bejeweled games, and also and more importantly other puzzle games in its genre.

The substantial change comes in the word twist, instead of clicking one gem and clicking one next to it to flip their positions this time you rotate four gems clockwise. In this game you can also make a change to the screen without making a match, previously on other bejewelled games the only time you could move a gem was to make a match. This brings in a whole new side to bejeweled games, instead of it being a clicking game it is now much more tactical because you can plan ahead, instead of just one move after another.

In all bejeweled games your ultimate goal is to score points based on the amount of gems you clear from the screen, to clear the gems you must align three or more in a row, the more gems you knock off at the same time the higher points you receive. Here is a summary of how many points you will get:

Gems score:

3 gems in a row = 50 points.
4 gems in a row = 100 points.
5 or more gems in a row = 200 points.

Here you can see that for each additional gem you match up you are awarded double points (up to five, ) so if you see a possibility of a massive combo then it might be in your interest to see if it is worth the hassle.

There are two different ways you can score on bejeweled twist: points and starts, when you complete a row you are awarded points, however, when you complete levels you are awarded stars.

Bejewelled twist has brought in a variety of new modes; let’s take a look at some of the modes here:

Classic mode.

Classic mode is the starting block for all bejeweled players; destroy all the regular gems and some new additions including the bomb gem and doom gems.

Zen mode.

Zen mode brings a lighter side to bejeweled twist, the stress-free mode if you like, simply play the game without any additions. This can be a useful spot to get started before jumping into the harder modes.

Blitz mode.

Maybe it is the exact opposite that you are looking for? Well when you unlock the blitz mode, you can get down to some serious business; it is a frantic five minutes of point scoring, block busting game fun.

Challenge mode.

The challenge mode is a personal favourite of mine. Unlike the other modes you have to progress through a series of tests and challenges, and there are a massive 104 challenges to progress through before you get to the end.

Apart from the obvious development in the way you twist your gems from Pop Cap Games; the developers of Bejeweled Twist have concentrated on the game modes and therefore the longevity of the game has increased significantly. For me, with the addition of so many modes means there is something for every gamer and if you have been hooked by bejeweled before then it is likely that you will love all the different modes.

Fresh off the case at Ravenhearst Manor, the Mystery Case Files gang fling themselves right back in the action, as players find themselves along a snowy, rural road near Blackpool, England. Stalled in a snowstorm, players find themselves alone and without resources on this country lane. Upon investigation of a nearby abandoned car, players find a video camera and tape documenting the beginning of a journey of four graduate students, who are trying to prove that an old Celtic legend about a Banshee surrounding area of Dire Grove. Where have the students gone? Why have they abandoned their car in such a hurry?

The Case

“Susan, is that you? Susan? I’m scattering these tapes to increase our chances of being found. The legend is real. This is not a stunt. I’m a graduate student. My name’s Alison Sterling and I come from Strayer University. Susan? Is that you? Susan, is that you? Leave me alone, leave me alone! No! “

Four graduate students go missing while travelling near rural Blackpool, England. Through investigation of the local Dire Grove Manor, players will find clues to the whereabouts of the students and learn much more about the findings that these students have come across. Finding each student in the surrounding area in suspended animation reveals that a spell must be broken to save these kids from the Banshee, who, through the entranced students threatens come back to life. Thanks to a number of video tapes strewn about the grounds of the hotel and the surrounding areas, players will learn vital information that the students have uncovered. Using this information, you must solve puzzles, seek extra clues, attain useful objects, and decipher the relics of the ancient Celtic world.

Game Play

This Big Fish Games instalment is nonlinear, meaning tasks are not numbered or set in an order, but there are tasks that will be impossible without proper items, this will require some intelligent thinking on the player’s part. Though most of the tasks in the game may be completed in any order, the following walk through will help any amateur be a success in Dire Grove.

Some items in the game that you can click on are not vital to the storyline or the game play but are fun objects to look at, make move, animate, etc… There are also puzzles throughout the game that can be skipped, if the player finds them too difficult. However, the final puzzle in the Ruins is not even though it is quite tricky. The solution is contained in the walk through below.

When an area of the screen glimmers, or sparkles, this indicates that a hidden object game is located there. Hidden object games are timed games where the screen will depict an area overrun with items. The cluttered mess will be hiding, 12 items to be found. Clicking on the item as you find it crosses it off a list on the bottom of the screen and you can proceed to the rest of the items on the list. Hints are allowed and a hint clock will count-down between hints, so the player knows when they will be allowed their next hint. Wrong clicks, I.E. clicks that are not made on items on the list, are penalized on the timer. Completing a hidden object game will reward players with a valuable item for their inventory.

Each item that you pick up will be added to your inventory, and any small tasks is listed in non-bold italic. The main areas you will be travelling to will be listed in bold letters, while the ancient relics you must find are shown in bold and italic letters.

Feel free to make yourself at home, but I would not dally if I were you. The man with the inky bird has been extremely busy in the dark. There is something he would like to show you. Clicky, Clicky detective. I would not want to spoil the surprise.

In this game there are over 150 puzzles to solve, the biggest number of puzzles in the series to date.

Different from the previous games in the series, you now can experience a fully-fledged adventure, instead of just the usual hidden object puzzles. You explore the haunted manor as the story unravels, and all the puzzles and games are connected, making this game not only a puzzle – hidden object game, but also an adventure. It is certainly not your regular game in the Mystery Case Files series.

The graphics have also been tremendously improved, as the game features even more beautiful landscapes with even more intricate details. This makes the game slightly harder, as the objects blend into the background better.

Your journey as a master detective on the Mystery Case Files games continues as you soon learn that you have been hired by a carnival owner, by the name of Madame Fate. Apparently, she has witnessed her own death in the future and asks you prevent it from happening, by catching the murderer before it is too late.

The main part of this games game play involves you searching every part of the carnival. What sets it apart from other games in the series; is you have the ability to interview people. The twist being, before you can interview them, you must solve a puzzle, which range from hangman style word puzzles, to rearranging anagram like puzzles. Solve the puzzles, and you will get to meet the employee and interview them.

Once you have obtained all the related clues and objects, Madame Fate will then utilize her crystal ball to unveil the future. This will take you to another set of mini games, which require a lot of out of the box solutions. So you do have to use your imagination well to solve the puzzles.

This is one of the harder games in the series; therefore, if you have not played any of the other games, then I would recommend it before playing this game.

In Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, you take a break from the usual petty crime solving; you will instead embark on a mystery thriller ride in the scenic English countryside. In this game, you have to solve the mystery of Ravenhearst manor.

In trying to solve the mystery, you will explore and scour different rooms in the Ravenhearst manor searching for clues and objects that can assist you in piecing Emma’s diary together, which holds the key to the dark secrets of the manor.

Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst is different from the previous games, as it adds many mini games that you have to complete. Instead of going from one location to the next continuously, you will find that many of the rooms are locked, and you need to solve a mini-game to get the key and open the room. Each mini game is different throughout the story mode, which makes this game fascinating and challenging.

This game differs from the rest with its sometimes spooky game play, therefore, if you have young children that want to play the series of games, then I would advise that an adult plays the game previous to ensure your children will not be frightened.

In this game, you will also enjoy the shock ending which is almost movie like, and I believe is the best ending across the series of games.

The hotly anticipated sequel to the best-selling Mystery Case Files: Huntsville, this game does not disappoint. Continuing the tradition in the series, you remain in the role of the master detective. However, after making it big in the old village, you move on up through the ranks and are sent to the Capital Town.

Things turn sour when the largest diamond in the world, ‘the World’s Hope,’ has been stolen while being displayed in the city Plaza. It is your jobs to capture the thief/s and return the world’s largest diamond.

There is a whole new set of games in Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects as well. Instead of the usual location-to-location search, there are now hidden locations that you have to unravel. The only way you access these hidden locations is to find items that are hidden among other clues, which is not easy, and this is where Prime Suspects differs from Huntsville.
